The CRC SC’s hybrid meeting was held May 20, 2022 at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter and live-streamed via Zoom and YouTube. Divided into the plenary session, which was held in the morning, and Expert Working Group sessions in the afternoon, the day was packed with a variety of talks and expert speakers giving updates on new developments and trends within colorectal cancer screening. Ninety-five people attended the meeting in-person and over 120 attendees joined virtually throughout the day. Given the ongoing pandemic, many members were unable to travel and several have expressed their gratitude to WEO for enabling them to join the meeting virtually. Even onsite attendees appreciated the fact that colleagues were able to join remotely, enabling the Screening Committee to further expand its reach, vision and international impact. In-person attendees were thrilled to finally be able to connect with colleagues and friends again and very much enjoyed the onsite experience, including its lunch buffet and post-meeting drinks.
