About us
The WEO World Endoscopy Organization is a global non-profit organization that has been active since 1962. It brings together doctors from Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Americas to improve the safety and quality of gastrointestinal endoscopy worldwide. WEO offers training, education, and research support, and puts special focus on helping regions with fewer medical resources. Through its expert committees, the organization runs projects that strengthen skills and raise standards in digestive endoscopy.
Role Description
You will manage a variety of projects, including educational courses, webinars and membership. A key aspect of your role will be supporting WEO’s governing entities and its meetings, supporting the financial administration of the organization, managing projects, suppliers and stakeholders.
Collaboration with an international team and doctors requires excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, along with professional proficiency in English and German, ideally with German being your first language.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project and event management, including financial administration and reporting, as well as a good business acumen.
This is a full-time position that may occasionally require weekend or holiday work, as well as domestic and international travel for courses and conferences.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Valid German/EU work permit.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in international project or program management (non-profit is a plus).
- Professional proficiency in English and German
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working in international and intercultural teams.
- Willingness to travel in Germany and abroad for events.
Project & Event Management:
- Experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Ability to organize online and onsite events, including:
- Collaborating with medical faculty on educational programs.
- Liaising with sponsors and industry partners.
- Preparing budgets, promotional materials, reports, etc.
Financial Management Support
- Handling invoices and payments (experience with Datev is a plus).
- Preparing and monitoring budgets for courses and events.
- Attention to detail with financial information.
Governance & Meeting Support
- Supporting meetings: scheduling, agendas, minutes, calls, etc.
- Close collaboration with the governing entities of WEO.
Technical Skills
- Solid general IT skills (MS Office, video-conferencing tools, etc.).
- Comfortable learning new software (financial systems, content management platforms).
Additional Assets
- Project management certification.
- Knowledge of additional languages.
