The October 2022 issue of Gastrointestinal Nursing’s Endoscopy Supplement features Professor Yuichi Mori, Chair of WEO’s Artificial Intelligence Ad-Hoc Committee, discussing the use of artificial intelligence in endoscopy practice. The article, titled Optimising endoscopy practice with artificial intelligence, addresses trends in using AI devices, specifically in the field of endoscopy.
Professor Mori also talks about the WEO AI Committee, an international committee of experts, who have a goal of identifying possible challenges in relation to use of AI in endoscopy practice. The new project of this committee is patient-cantered, taking into consideration patients’ feelings about the use of AI in their care.
