WEO is pleased to announce that SIED (Sociedad Interamericana de Endoscopía Digestiva, Interamerican Society of Digestive Endoscopy) has presented Dr. Asadur Tchekmedyian as their nomination for the position of incoming President-Elect of the World Endoscopy Organization. Dr. Tchekmedyian has been actively involved in WEO, particularly in the Colorectal Cancer Screening Committee and ENDO 2020.
He has been nominated as WEO President-Elect for the period 2024–2026, with the subsequent role of President for the period 2026–2028. We would like to extend our congratulations to Dr. Tchekmedyian and anticipate a close collaboration between the WEO and SIED as the next zone to host the WEO presidency.
